As the oldest sibling of four, with creative parents, byjaye was constantly surrounded by music and arts from a young age. Growing up listening to a mixture of rock, punk and hip hop, it was never about the genre but how the music made him feel. In his teenage years, byjaye sharpened his craft, performing at open mic nights in pubs around Sydney where he found his voice. Over these formative years, byjaye evolved his musical approach and practice, blending honest storytelling with his infectious, high energy live performance, always leaving shows with a big handful of new fans.
